A little about me…. Aundrea Johnson… owner of Baby’s First Impressions. I moved to Fresno in 2004 and got a job working as Assistant Manager at a local maternity shop. It was my comfort zone, since I had graduated college with a BA in Photography and did specialized photo shoots of maternity, new babies and families. Working at the maternity shop was a blast! I loved seeing women enjoying such a special time in their lives, and helping them to find things they would need.

Although I enjoyed working at the store, my main goal was to start my own business. To do something I loved and was passionate about, but on my own terms. I thought it would be great to incorporate my artistic background and still work with families with new babies. I wanted to capture how small babies are and knew doing hand and foot impressions was the perfect idea.

In January 2005, Baby's First Impressions opened and teamed up with Mommy Matters, a local maternity retail and resource center for new and expecting parents. A year later, I was still working full time at the maternity store and trying to get Baby's First Impressions off the ground, when I found out I was pregnant with our first baby. I was so excited and that gave me more reason to make Baby's First Impressions successful. Hanna was born in September and soon after I decided to leave the security of my job to donate 100% of my time and effort to Baby's First Impressions. It has been a fantastic whirlwind year, and I have loved every minute of it.

After having Hanna, more than ever I realize that if you don’t capture the little mementos while you can, it is gone before you know it. It is such an honor to get to know all of my customers and their families, and create something I know they will cherish for a lifetime.
